Monday

Lately, you've had cold hands and feet. Back in high school gym class, you had a friend named Crystal who always talked about her "poor circulation." You remember her touch to be icy-cold whenever she happened to graze your arm or reach out for a hug. You'd always wonder what it would take to get good circulation, whether it was something as rudimentary as 50 jumping jacks a day.

You don't know what "poor circulation" means exactly, but you figure that it accounts for the numerous mugs of tea that you cup, the frequent and nervous way you rub your palms together, and what you tell strangers when you first meet them. "Sorry, but my hand's cold." They pull you close, cheek to cheek, and they realize that it's not just your hand, but your entire body.
