Melodrama about her uterus

Discussing "The Mourning Door" by Elizabeth Graver, a girl in my discussion group this morning contributes this: "None of you have any idea what it feels like for your uterus to ACHE." She looks around at the group for emphasis (to wit: there were 3 boys and 2 girls, including her), and looks back again at me. She points and says, "Except for you. Maybe." That annoyed me to no end. I could have done without the melodrama about her uterus aching, which, frankly, only she and Harrison Ford's biatch can get away with saying. And the "maybe" part? Incorrigible!
